The Boys Made it to Haiti

Jonathan, Jordan and Josiah left early yesterday morning for Haiti with Mercy International. We encouraged them to arrive at the airport early, which they did. Thankfully they made it through security quickly and had plenty of time for breakfast and a little "Instagram"ing.

I Think I Survived Today

Today has been one of those days. You know the day when you say to yourself "can I just go back to bed and start over?" By lunch I was ready to sit all the children on the couch and make them sit for the rest of the day!

Baby Update, Preparing for Haiti and Injuries

Yesterday I had a prenatal appointment. The baby is growing well and is even head down, without any external help. I will be starting my end of pregnancy supplements and also seeing a chiropractor next week to make sure this little one stays headed in the right direction.

Weekend on the Road

This weekend we packed up and headed to Tennessee as a whole family. We have not taken a trip as a whole family since last October when we traveled to North Carolina for the NCFIC family conference.

CASA, Court and The Joy of Adoption

Today was another day in court for my current CASA case. Sitting in court I often reflect on how far our culture has digressed. Whether it is the poor in our community that are unable to care for their children and don't know where to find help, to those who have an utter disregard for life. It makes me very sad.
