We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. We enjoyed the day with family and friends, eating, laughing and playing games.
When in Oklahoma a few months ago my dad started calling Titus "Action Jackson". Titus loved the name and frequently tells us "no, my name is Action Jackson!" He loves to strap my changing table pad on his back and run around like a superhero....I am thinking I need to sew him a cape!
We have lived in our current home for two years and I have been ready to paint the living room since the day we moved in. Because of a number of things going on in our home (mainly our church met in our home for a year plus) I was not able to paint.
The girls and I spent an afternoon out to lunch and ice cream for their Book It Reading Reward. The girls have been bugging me daily since the boys went a couple weeks ago. After a morning of school and errand the girls and I headed out to Pizza Hut followed by Dairy Queen for free ice cream cones!
Today as I sat in the courthouse finishing my CASA training, I watched families both biological, foster and adoptive come in and out. As I contemplated the joy of adoption I couldn't help but also think about the pain and tragedy brought on by abuse, abandonment and adoption.
